Thermal Spray Heat Tape
Thermal spray heat tape & masking compounds are available to protect and shield areas of components applications are being applied to. Whether it be Plasma, ARC Spray, HVOF, or grit blasting, there are various options available to shield areas needed from overspray and splash. These masking materials are made in the USA. Aluminum Foil
Dewal aluminum foil fiberglass heat tapes offer the same benefits as fiberglass tapes alone but with an added benefit of more easily conforming to your subject.
Double-Ply
Double-Ply tapes from Astro Alloys reduce the time and cost in masking in those applications that require multiple layers for added abrasion and thermal spray protection.
Fiberglass
Fiberglass tapes are well suited for plasma spray applications. They also offer a clean release so are well suited to be used under other tapes for a clean release.
HVMC & Dichtol Sealant
High velocity masking compound (H.V.M.C) is a unique two-part silicone putty which is very helpful in masking holes, keyways, channels, and depressions.
HVOF
HVOF thermal spray produces a harsh environment, creating a major challenge when you need to mask off an area that doesn’t require spray. We have several options to aid in this challenge.
Mach Bloc & Powermask
Machbloc is a masking compound designed to withstand the rigors of HVOF spraying. Powermask is a brushable liquid masking option.
Silicone
