Description
The Model 16000 Turntable is a versatile tilt and rotate turntable designed for manual thermal spraying operations. The turntable interfaces with any Praxair PLC-controlled control console, starting turntable action at the proper point in the spray cycle. The 16000 can also receive on-off commands from a robot controller.
The 16000 turntable is controlled from a compact Model 16K Control Console (controller). Designed for wall mounting near the main spray process controller, the 16K connects to the turntable via 20 ft. (6 m) control cables for turntable on-off, rotational speed, and directional control. The console features an easy to read, digital, turntable RPM display and an emergency stop (E-stop) switch.
Options The turntable provides maximum rigidity for the high speed workpiece rotation thermal spray operations require. The 16000′ s sturdy, heavy-duty steel frame is equipped with casters and stabilizer jacks. The lightweight 24 in. (610 mm) platen has four slots for fixture and jaw-chuck attachments. Regenerative braking assures rapid stopping. In an emergency stop condition, or any time turntable primary input power is removed or lost, dynamic braking stops the platen and locks it in position. The platen, gear reduction unit, and motor all tilt on a bearing-mounted shaft that is manually infinitely adjustable from vertical to horizontal position via a crank handle connected to a 60:1 gearbox. A. Remote Control Panel Designed for remote turntable operations, the remote panel provides turntable on-off, rotational speed, and directional control. The panel displays the RPM on a large, easy to read digital display, and features an emergency stop (E-stop) switch. The panel connects to the 16K control console via a 20 ft. (6 m) control cable.
